More Kiev Pictures and SDA

Our SDA appointment went well. They got a big kick out of the girls. They were impressed with their Russian and asked them lots of questions. Sara made them laugh, of course! The girls made it smooth sailing for us, they didn't even ask us a single question. We have to go back tomorrow to pick up our referral to see the kids. We will then take the night train and be in Dnipro on Friday morning.

I am excited and nervous to meet them. We saw recent pictures of them and it gave me butterflies. I am wondering how I am going to feel? How are they going to feel? Christy is Alina going to say, "Yes?" I can't wait to get it over with, I am sooo nervous. When I met Sara for the first time she ran into my arms and said, " Hi mom" in Russian. She was so shy but I loved her right away. Will it be different now that I know what I am getting into? Oh dear, oh dear!

  1. YES, She better say yes. I am guessing that she is even more nervous than you are and anxious to see all of you. She will probably hug you and say Mama and be a little shy. They will probably take you to the "Sewing" room to get acquainted and then she will probably fall asleep because she probably hasn't slept for days being so anxious to meet you :) Once she does she will feel your warm spirit and the wonderfulness of your family and she will think that she has died adn gone to heaven. We can't wait to hear how it goes. We can't wait to see pictures of their little brother too. I am so anxious that I can hardly stand it too!!! Devin's mission papers were submitted today and so this is a double week of pins and needles. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Kiev looks beautiful in the winter. I hope you are having fun and staying warm. The mystery buns don't look so bad. I'll bet the hot chocolate is even better when it is cold :)
We are praying for you, Amazing friends. Enjoy those smooth streets for one more day :)

    1. What an adventure you are having already!! It is so pretty with the lights and snow. How funny about the food, somethings you can never forget about. :) I am glad the SDA went well today. Sad to hear that the process will not go any quicker than you had hoped. Please just come back before I have the baby. :)
I can only imagine your nervousness to meet the kids. I am sure it will be amazing and that they will love you instantly. Just breath deep and don't pass out, first impressions are key. :)

  4. Beautiful! I wish I'd gotten to see it all snowy like that. There was dirty snow when I was there, but not new. I saw plenty of new in Dnepro though. :) Good luck and yes, enjoy those smooth streets while you've got them! LOL
