Last night I didn't think I could go back to Ukraine. I didn't want to drag my sick self on the plane and back to the world of snow. I was completely discouraged and ready to give up.
This morning before I left, Diane's husband, Blake, gave me a blessing. He reminded me that Heavenly Father is aware of me and what I am doing here and blessed me that I would have the strength to complete my Holy trip of adding children to my family.
I love he called it a holy trip. It reminded me why I am here. I saw Alina and Will's faces in my mind and my heart filled with the courage and desire to go back to Ukraine.
Thanks to Diane my strict diet of chicken broth and gold fish crackers brought me safely to Kiev without incident.
Me and my Chicken Broth
Diane thank you for your tender care of me. I couldn't have been in better hands. My heart is full as I think of all you did for me. I am humbled by the many ways Heavenly Father blessed me through you this week. So many reminders that he is aware of me and my needs.
I love you forever my cute friend Diane.
Dear Diane and Blake, Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for taking care of Amy. You are truly angels. I am so humbled by the tender mercies Heavenly Father sends to us when we are doing whats right. Amy is certainly blessed to have such awesome friends. Thank you again, so much. Love you, Carol (Amy's Mom)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh I am so sorry that you are still sick!!! Thank heavens for Diane and Mary and Lena for being your angels right now. I hope that chicken broth does the trick and when you are back in Ukraine that you feel as good as new. The offer still stands to come to Ukraine and impersonate you to finish your adoption. (after I lose 40 lbs and get cosmetic surgery.) You are almost there. Hopefully Luba can do all the work and you can rest. I am glad that you got to do a little sightseeing in Germany. Also glad that Mary made it safely. Tell her that I contacted Brad on facebook and he was really cute to respond and say that he is dating someone pretty seriously right now. DANG. So if you see a cute Ukrainian man..... LOL. Sorry for that news. We love you guys and hope it all goes well for the rest of your adventure.

I'm sorry you're still sick! :( I'm glad you made it back there without incident and hope things go well for you as you finish up. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteOh no. Passing out? I am so sorry. I am so glad you had a blessing and made it back. I think going back would be hard enough feeling well. This - my dear - is one tough labor!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear how things go once you get Will out. I hope he is a snuggle bug!
Please know my offer stands about coming and like Christy - I could come impersonate you with enough cosmetic alterations. And freckles. I would need your cute freckles.
Hopefully it will be slightly warmer in Ukraine? It is almost March?
Do keep us posted. I checked on you yesterday but you must have posted right after?
Hang in there. Now's the time to "push" and then you'll be out of there!
Praying for you Amy!! Glad you got to see Diane: Love her & miss her too!!! Fun to see the pics:) Wow! What an amazing journey. You can do this!!! Just a few more weeks & you will be back. Take care. HUGS:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad to hear you're passing out again. I hope you're back to normal soon and able to get through this busy week with no episodes. I'm so glad that you have good friends, and Lena by your side to watch over you while you're there. Sending lots more prayers your way. Love you! Shelby
