Carlin I am posting some pictures for you. We had a wonderful day in Kremenchuk with Anna, she is terrific.

Orphanage pictures

They were a little nervous in front of the vice director, but when we saw them outside they were talking excitedly and checking out their stuff. They both were smiling a lot and showing their friends.

They felt loved by you Carlin and sometimes just knowing someone loves you makes all the difference in the world.

We ate lunch here.

The bed in our hotel room!
Amy, Your kindness DOES NOT STOP. I never met the kids that Carlin hosted but I am surprised how much they look like Carlin. Amazing things can happen when people know that someone cares. I think with all those changes that Ukraine is making that they should change that director. I wonder if anyone has had a successful adoption out of there yet? I was surprised that there hadn't been an adoption at our orphanage since ours a whole year and a half ago. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you already have pictures up! Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are so wonderful to stop and see them and hug them for me!! I can't believe how much older they are. Anya sent pictures last year when she delievered the blankets and they were sitting and still looked so young. I thought it funny that Christine said they looked like me. People said that all the time and that they must be mine since they looked like me, then when we met the other kids everyone said Tanya looked just like me and it must have been ment to be - even our judge in Ukraine kept asking me if I had Russian roots because Tanya looked like me. It is wonderful to see them. You are simply wonderful. Thank you sooooo sooo much. They are beautiful. I'm so grateful you have so much faith and prayed the director away for the day! : ) He's a tough one and not afraid to call the KGB, hahaha. It's funny now. Thanks again for the pictures and enjoy Germany!
ReplyDeleteOh, I also was going to say that we ate that restaurant the first night we arrived in Kremenchuk! Sorry to say we didn't stay in that very fancy hotel with matching curtains and bedspread. Lovely. Our first night in Kremenchuk our driver had found us a three bedroom place, it was really a two bedroom and Natasha would be sharing the room with troy and I. She totally flipped and Troy was not excited either. Both would have prefered your hotel!! : )
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to meet Carlin's girls and give them some love. Why do the directors have to be so bossy and controlling? They don't sound very nice or seem to have the children's best interest at heart. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've just read so many frustrating stories. grrrr... Glad you're able to travel around now. Hope you enjoy Germany! When is Sara and Jeff coming home? Shelby
ReplyDeleteAmy, Just catching up on your blog. So very happy for all of you! I can't wait to meet your new kids! Love you all! Debbie
